Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- There took place a seminar, book and photo exhibition and film show in India and a photo exhibition and film show in Nigeria on Aug. 7 and 13 on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of Korea's liberation. Displayed at the venues of the events were photos documenting the feats of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un. Also on show were books and photos introducing Songun Korea. Films shown included Korean films "The Arch of Triumph", "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation" and "The Tower of the Juche Idea". B. C. Gupta, chairman of the Juche Idea Study Society of Indian Delhi, said in a speech: The President, who embarked on the road of the revolution in his teens with a high aim for Korea's independence, proposed the line for achieving national liberation through armed struggle and founded the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA) on April 25, 1932. The Japanese imperialists claimed that the KPRA is a drop in the ocean, but the President beat down them, who dreamed of the world domination, with his original strategies and superb guerilla war methods and liberated Korea. The feats he performed by liberating Korea through the arduous anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle will go down forever in the history of the anti-imperialist national liberation struggle. At the event in Nigeria speakers praised the President for liberating Korea, adding that the DPRK is displaying the dignity as a socialist country centered on the popular masses and an invincible country unfazed by any storm. |
