Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Start of Songun Revolutionary Leadership Marked in Guinea

| Pyongyang, August 20 (KCNA) -- The Guinean National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea issued a special bulletin on August 12 on the occasion of the 54th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of the Songun revolutionary leadership. The bulletin in an article titled "Undying exploits of Songun" said: August 25, 1960 is the day when Kim Jong Il started his Songun revolutionary leadership. The Songun revolutionary leadership provided by him ushered in a new era of prosperity unprecedented in the history of the Korean nation spanning five thousand years. Under his command the Korean People's Army grew to be invincible army and the military muscle of the DPRK reached the highest level. In an article titled "Day of Songun in the DPRK" the bulletin noted that the Day of Songun was instituted in the DPRK to convey to posterity the Songun revolutionary leadership feats of Kim Jong Il, eternal chairman of the National Defence Commission. The exploits he performed by laying a solid foundation for the ever-lasting prosperity of the country and nation with his outstanding and tested leadership will shine long along with the Day of Songun in the DPRK. |
