The editorial said that the "Saenuri Party" on August 13 made a deceptive farce to clarify the ceaseless suspicion about where the present chief executive was and what she did for seven hours on the very day the ferry disaster occurred.

The "Saenuri Party" claimed that the chief executive issued appropriate instructions after receiving 21 reports about the ferry sinking at Chongwadae and it is necessary to put an end to the argument about her whereabouts. This is, in a word, an irrelevant answer.

The ruling party's explanation of the chief executive's whereabouts and counter-measures taken on the very day of the disaster which drew strong public suspicion is nothing but a poor trick to bar the Presidential chief of staff and others from appearing at the hearing over the ferry Sewol disaster.

Until when will the ruling quarters hold out this way? The "president" will only feel shame as she fails to properly clarify the matter.
