Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- Wipin Gupta, chairman of the Juche Philosophy Study Committee of India and editor-in-chief of the Indian and World Event, issued a statement on Aug. 15 in support of a statement released by the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea. He said: As President Kim Il Sung led the arduous anti-Japanese war to victory, bearing the destiny of the country and nation on his shoulders, the Korean people could greet a new bright morning of the nation's rebirth so desired by them. Many decades have passed and generations have been replaced by new ones since the historic day but the complete independence and sovereignty of Korea, the desire of the President, have not yet come true. The successive pro-U.S. conservative regimes of south Korea, obsessed by sycophancy and submission, have escalated mistrust and contradiction within the nation and blocked the reunification of the country, seeking confrontation with fellow countrymen and a war against the north as a shock brigade and servant for the U.S. As long as the U.S., a cancer-like entity of Korea's reunification, occupies south Korea and has everything under its thumb, the north-south relations can not be mended and Korea can never be reunified. The U.S. imperialist aggressors should be pulled out of south Korea at once. The south Korean authorities should abandon the ruinous policy of depending on outside forces and show their sincere will to improve the relations before the world in practice. |
