The agreement reached again between the ruling and opposition parties on August 19 over the institution of a special law on probing the truth about the ferry Sewol disaster is also touching off opposition among the bereaved families, the editorial said.

The bereaved families have always held that the fact-finding committee should have the rights to investigate and indict those responsible for the disaster, it said, charging that the current agreement is no better than the preceding one in essence and falls short of meeting the demand raised by the bereaved families.

It expressed resentment at the political camp which deceived the people again.
