On August 25, Juche 49 (1960) leader Kim Jong Il started his Songun revolutionary leadership, with inspection of the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the Korean People's Army.

Since then, he had made ceaseless inspection of military units and posts for 50-odd years despite weather conditions, turning the KPA into an invincible Paektusan army.

In the mid-1990s when the country was at the crossroads of its destiny, he held higher the banner of the Songun politics and formulated it as the basic mode of politics under socialism to defend the destiny of the country and people.

For 17 years from January 1, 1995 when he visited the dwarf pine post to the last moments of his life, Generalissimo Kim Jong Il inspected more than 2,490 military units in total.

His energetic Songun guidance put the dignity and strength of the DPRK on the highest level.

The feats he performed in leading the Songun revolution will remain forever along with history of the DPRK.
