Bulgarian Paper Supports DPRK's Just Cause
Pyongyang, August 23 (KCNA) -- The August 1-15th issue of the Bulgarian paper Novo Rabotnichesko Delo carried an article supporting the just cause of the DPRK.

The article recalled that the UN Security Council at an informal consultative meeting accused the DPRK of launching short-range missiles in July last, terming it "violation of its resolution", and the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK released a statement refuting it.

It continued:

The military measures taken by the DPRK including the firing of tactical rockets are an exercise of its sovereign right to defend the sovereignty of the country and security of the nation from the U.S. nuclear threat and moves for aggression.

This year the DPRK made positive peace proposals through the crucial offer and special proposal of its National Defence Commission and the statement of its government and has taken practical measures for their realization.

However, the U.S., together with the south Korean authorities, staged Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises in succession. They conducted the largest-ever joint air battle drills in the wake of their joint landing drills, the largest ones since 1993.

It is quite natural for the army of the DPRK to make preparations enough to cope with the ever-escalating moves of the U.S. to stifle it by force of arms.

It is absolutely intolerable that the UNSC overlooks the U.S. bellicose war drills and nuclear threat while taking issue only with the inevitable measures taken by the DPRK for self-defence.

The UNSC should take issue with the provocative joint military drills of the U.S. and the south Korean warlike forces as it has the mission to ensure world peace and security.

As long as the UNSC supports the U.S. in its hostile moves against the DPRK, bereft of any impartiality, the DPRK is left with no option but to bolster up its capability for self-defence.
