On August 25, 1960 Kim Jong Il visited the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the Korean People's Army, an event of weighty significance.

Making long journeys of Songun till the last moments of his life, he trained the Korean People's Army into the matchless army and bolstered up the military power of the country in every way, providing a firm military guarantee for the victory of the socialist cause.

By leading to victory the struggle for defending socialism in the most rigorous international circumstance, he aroused the army and people of the DPRK to the efforts to build a thriving nation.

The eye-opening reality of the DPRK invincible with single-minded unity, strong with self-defence and prospering with the industrial revolution in the new century would be unthinkable apart from his Songun leadership feats.

The feats he performed by laying the eternal foundation for the prosperity of the country and nation with his outstanding and tested Songun leadership will remain shining in history.

Nakhodkinski Rabochi and Rio Panorama on August 20 carried articles dealing with his Songun leadership feats and the victories won by the army and the people of the DPRK in the confrontation with the U.S. imperialists under the unfurled banner of Songun.
