UFG to which the "tailored deterrence strategy" will be formally applied is dangerous saber-rattling aimed to make a preemptive nuclear strike on the DPRK, the statement said, strongly demanding the U.S. stop it at once.

It urged the south Korean authorities to take practical steps for improving the north-south relations, instead of working hard to ignite a war for stifling the DPRK in league with the U.S.

The U.S. is getting frantic in its moves to reinforce its missile defense system and bolster up its forces in a bid to expand the sphere of influence in the Asia-Pacific region under the pretext of the non-existent "nuclear and missile threats" from the DPRK, it said, and went on:

The U.S. is going to stir up military confrontation among big powers and escalate tensions in the Asia-Pacific region and deprive Asian peoples including those of Korea and Japan of their peaceful life.

The U.S. should stop at once its military exercises and moves for building a missile defense system and pull out of south Korea.

Now is the time for the U.S. to opt for sincere dialogue with the DPRK to conclude a peace agreement.
