U.S. Can Never Evade Its Responsibility for Escalated Tension on Korean Peninsula: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, August 27 (KCNA) -- U.S. State Secretary Kerry said at a recent international meeting that the nukes and missiles of north Korea pose a threat to the Asia-Pacific region, adding north Korea should keep its promise to make verifiable peaceful denuclearization. He also talked rubbish that the U.S. wants only the peace on the Korean peninsula, it has no intent to be hostile to north Korea, it seeks improved relations with north Korea, but it is possible only when north Korea shows its will to fulfill its commitments. Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes in an article in this regard: It is the ulterior intention of the U.S. to justify its hostile policy towards the DPRK and stifle it by force of arms without fail after branding it as a "disturber of peace" at any cost. The article cites concrete facts to prove that the U.S. set its goal to bring down the social system chosen by the Korean people themselves after defining the DPRK as enemy from the moment of its foundation and has perpetrated the moves to antagonize it. It continues: Such harsh hostile moves pursued by the U.S. against the DPRK for the last several decades are unethical and state-sponsored terrorism unprecedented in history. The U.S. has never wanted improved relations with the DPRK but worked hard to overthrow it by force of arms, waiting for a chance through procrastination. What Kerry uttered about improved DPRK-U.S. relations, the peace on the Korean peninsula and the like is nothing but a clumsy and poor wordplay and mockery and insult to the Korean people desirous of the genuine peace on the peninsula. With no rhetoric can the U.S. evade its responsibility for the tensions on the peninsula. |
