Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Visit to Siberian and Far East Regions of Russia Marked

Pyongyang, August 27 (KCNA) -- A friendly meeting took place at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club on Wednesday to mark the third anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's historic visit to the Siberian and Far East Regions of the Russian Federation.

Present there on invitation were Russian Ambassador to the DPRK Alexandr Timonin and his embassy officials.

Kim Jin Bom, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and chairman of the DPRK-Russia Friendship Association, officials concerned, teachers and students of DPRK-Russia Friendship Moranbong Secondary School No. 1 were present.

Speeches were made at the meeting.

The participants enjoyed a performance given by the art group of students of the school.

Earlier, embassy officials toured the Central Mushroom Research Institute of the State Academy of Sciences.
