Present there were scientists, technicians, teachers and officials of production units and scientific and educational institutions in the field of fishery.

Submitted to the presentation were more than 40 papers showing the research successes made in updating fishing boats and fishing tackles and putting technology of scientific search for fishing ground, fishing technology, cultivation and processing fields onto a high stage.

The participants introduced achievements and experience made by them in solving the scientific and technological issues arising in increasing the aquatic production, true to the militant task of the Workers' Party of Korea to boost the fishing industry of the country by learning from the example set by the fishing sector of the Korean People's Army.

Prizes were awarded to the participants who presented excellent papers.
