The Nigerian paper Nigerian Observer on August 20 carried an article. It said:

The Korean people are celebrating August 25, 1960 when leader Kim Jong Il started the Songun revolutionary leadership as the Day of Songun.

He trained the Korean People's Army to be a matchless army, bolstered up the military muscle of the country in every way with the KPA as a hardcore and thus provided a firm military guarantee for the victory of the socialist cause.

The KPA, which grew to be the elite army impeccable in the political and ideological, strategic and tactical, military and technological aspects under his care, has always won victories in the confrontation with the U.S.-led imperialist formidable enemies.

The eye-opening reality of the DPRK invincible with single-minded unity, strong with self-defence and prospering with the industrial revolution in the new century would be unthinkable apart from his Songun leadership feats.

The feats he performed by laying the eternal foundation for the prosperity of the country and nation with his tested Songun leadership will remain shining with the Day of Songun in the DPRK.

F. M. 90.5 Radio of Cambodia on August 19 introduced in detail his undying Songun leadership feats under the title "By dint of Songun".
