Reception Given for Participants in Pyongyang International Pro-Wrestling Contest

Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) -- The DPRK-Japan Friendship Association and the International Martial Arts Games Committee gave a reception at Okryu Restaurant Thursday in honor of the participants in the Pyongyang International Pro-wrestling Contest. Present there on invitation were Kanji Inoki, member of the House of Councilors of Japan who is also chief director of the Sports Peace Community Association of Japan and co-chairman of the organizing committee of the contest, and his party and foreign players. Also present were Kang Sok Ju, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea who is also advisor to the DPRK-Japan Friendship Association, Kim Yong Hun, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, Jang Ung, chairman of the International Martial Arts Games Committee and co-chairman of the organizing committee of the contest, Pak Kun Kwang, chairman of the DPRK-Japan Friendship Association, and officials concerned. Jang Ung in his speech warmly welcomed the players to take part in the contest with the desire of peace and friendship. We set store by the wishes of Kanji Inoki to promote fraternity and friendship between the peoples of the DPRK and Japan and contribute to the world peace through sports exchange, Jang noted. Kanji Inoki made an address. He expressed thanks for those relevant who made big efforts for the contest saying that the contest would produce successful fruition. He expressed the will to make efforts for friendship between Japan and the DPRK. |
