The General Staff of the Korean People's Army clarified its resolute stand that the armed forces of the DPRK would further intensify their military counteractions on a regular and annual basis to foil the enemies' reckless moves for aggression.

The DPRK's regular military counteractions are measures for legitimate self-defence to protect the sovereignty of the nation and peace of the country from the escalated nuclear war threats of the warmongers at home and abroad.

The DPRK has made consistent patient efforts to protect the peace and security on the Korean peninsula and improve the bedeviled relations between the north and the south.

However, the U.S. and south Korean warlike forces challenged the DPRK's just demand and peace-loving efforts by staging the joint military drills.

It is quite natural for the DPRK to react to the warmongers' reckless military provocations with regular and merciless military counter-actions, now that national sovereignty and right to existence are gravely threatened by them.

It is the revolutionary stand and spirit of the army and people of the DPRK to counter the enemies' daggers with long swords and their nuclear threat with stronger nuclear deterrence.

We can never remain an onlooker to the criminal nuclear war campaign of outside forces and their stooges on the Korean peninsula and a definite end should be put to it. This is the steadfast stand of the DPRK.

The DPRK's powerful military counteraction will be taken at an unpredictable higher stage.
