S. Korean Puppet Forces Slammed for Suppression of Opposition Party Member

| Pyongyang, August 30 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Democracy, People's Life, Peaceful Reunification and Sovereignty of south Korea released a statement on August 28 denouncing the puppet authorities for cracking down on the protest as regards the ferry Sewol disaster. The statement recalled that on the same day the police searched the house of the director for education of the opposition Unified Progressive Party. The police committed such action when the director was going to come out to a venue of the strike as chief of the strike group for probing the truth about the ferry Sewol disaster, it charged. Suppression is not workable, it said, warning that if the authorities try to gloss over the issue of the ferry Sewol disaster through the suppression of progressive forces, they will face bigger resistance of the people. |
