Sojourn in Pyongyang of Foreign Pro-wrestlers
Pyongyang, August 30 (KCNA) -- Participants in the Pyongyang International Pro-Wrestling Contest toured the sports village in Chongchun Street here on Friday.

Bob Sapp, a U.S. pro-wrestler, told KCNA, giving his impressions of the DPRK:

"This is the cleanest country that I have ever been.

Every one is smiling so bright. I definitely know that I consider myself ignorant to just thinking that north Korea was kind of a gloomy and very sad place. This is very beautiful and very exciting, big fun place.

I hope to be invited, so that I can come back again."

Meanwhile, pro-wrestlers from different countries enjoyed themselves in the village, playing tug of war and arm-wrestle with young citizens of the DPRK.

What drew attention of many Pyongyang citizens there in particular was a scene of pulling a 17.5-ton bus by Bob Sapp and Erik Hammer of the U.S. and Jerome Le Banner of France.

Kanji Inoki, member of the House of Councilors and chief director of the Sports Peace Community Association of Japan who is co-chairman of the contest organizing committee, met with Ryu Il Hun, a 13-year-old judoist of the DPRK April 25 Sports Team. Ryu weighing 85 kg is a great-grandson by daughter of Kim Sin Rak (Rikidozan) known as the world pro-wrestling champion.
