The DPRK was founded on September 9, 1948, a historic event which heralded the birth of Juche Korea in the world.

The great President Kim Il Sung founded the DPRK in reflection of the will of all Korean people in the north and the south.

Under his wise leadership the Korean people brilliantly settled the power problem, the basic problem in the revolutionary struggle, successfully carried out the anti-imperialist, anti-feudal democratic revolution and transition to the socialist revolution in a brief period and built the socialist state centered on the popular masses, free from exploitation and oppression.

The DPRK has developed the self-supporting national economy despite the economic sanctions and blockade of the U.S. imperialists and their followers.

Today socialist Korea is dynamically advancing toward the building of a thriving nation and the reunification of the country while creating the new Korean speed under the Songun revolutionary leadership of respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.
