They included lectures and film shows in Uganda and Guinea and a film show in Nigeria.

Films shown included Korean films "Pyongyang at Night", "Korean People's Army, Steel-Strong Ranks", "Arms of Korea" and "Reply of Korea".

The chairman of the Ugandan National Executive Committee of the Pan-African Movement said the exploits leader Kim Jong Il performed by laying an eternal foundation for the prosperity of the country and the nation by dint of Songun will shine forever along with the Day of Songun in the DPRK.

The vice-chairman of the Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Association of Guinea said Kim Jong Il provided field guidance to the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the Korean People's Army on August 25, 1960, an event of weighty significance.

He added:

When socialism was frustrated in various countries at the end of the last century, the KPA resolutely foiled the anti-socialist offensive of the imperialist allied forces as a staunch and reliable defender of the socialist cause.

The DPRK is invincible thanks to its single-minded unity, remains strong thanks to self-reliance in defence and is prospering through the industrial revolution in the new century. This eye-opening reality would be unthinkable without the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il.
