He made public "Become Pillars Supporting Future Prosperous Korea," "The Sons and Daughters of Revolutionary Martyrs Should Become the Reliable Backbone of the Songun Revolution Who Would Stoutly Carry Forward the Lineage of Mangyongdae, the Lineage of Paektu" and other works, glorifying the educational idea of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and their exploits.

Kim Jong Un made sure that an ordinance of the Supreme People's Assembly on enforcing the universal 12-year compulsory education was promulgated at the 6th Session of the 12th SPA of the DPRK in September, Juche 101(2012), thus providing an institutional guarantee for bringing up the future generations to be backbone of Songun revolution equipped with noble spirit and a wealth of knowledge and scientific and technological talents in the era of knowledge-based economy.

He energetically led the work to firmly establish the trait of attaching importance to education throughout the country and bring about a new radical turn in education.

While visiting Pyongyang University of Architecture in November, Juche 102(2013), he gave instructions which would serve as guidelines for the university education.

He also led the work to give fullest play to the genuine advantages and tremendous vitality of the Juche-based socialist educational system.

He took one measure after another for the education of the rising generations, making sure that the state expenses for education were increased and a colossal amount of educational aid fund and stipends were sent for the children of Koreans in Japan.

He also saw to it that children's camps, schoolchildren's palaces and halls across the country were renovated.

He visited Ssuk Islet in the process of development and specified how a scientific and technological palace should look like. He thus indicated the way of building it into a study center to be visited not only by scientists, technicians, researchers and students but by all other people.

He also led the work to arrange and run scientific and technological dissemination bases at factories and enterprises so that working people can have an ample opportunity to learn modern science and technology.

Under his energetic leadership a large contingent of revolutionary talents of Juche type are being trained to glorify Kim Il Sung's and Kim Jong Il's Korea, and the day when the country will become a highly civilized socialist nation is drawing near.
