In the message the president said on behalf of the government and people of India he extended warm greetings and congratulations to His Excellency Kim Jong Un and the government and people of the DPRK on the occasion of the founding anniversary of the DPRK.

India and the DPRK have long-standing relations based on friendship and cooperation, the message said.

It expressed the conviction that the close relations between the two countries would advance purposefully in the mutual interests of the two peoples.

It wholeheartedly wished Kim Jong Un good health and happiness and the friendly people of the DPRK progress and prosperity.
