Punishment of Those Responsible for Ferry Accident Called for in S. Korea

Pyongyang, September 6 (KCNA) -- The Measure Committee of the Families of Victims, Missing Persons and Survivors of the Ferry Sewol Sinking Accident of south Korea held a press conference in Seoul on Sept. 3 at which it urged not to downplay the responsibility for the ferry accident, according to KBS of south Korea.

It said that the accident did not occur due to the mistake of the captain alone.

It called for thoroughly probing the truth about the accident and punishing those responsible for it.

It accused the "Saenuri Party" of refusing to institute a special law granting the right to investigate and indict those responsible for the accident though it is aware of the limitations of the special inspection system.
