Harvest Moon Day, Traditional Festival of Korea
Pyongyang, September 6 (KCNA) -- Harvest Moon Day is a traditional festival of the Korean nation.

According to historical records, the Koreans have visited their ancestral graves before anything else on the day every year, tending them with care and holding memorial services with various dishes made of new crops.

Then they would enjoy the day significantly, taking special dishes and playing such folk games as Korean wrestling, tug of war, archery and swing. In the evening they spent a pleasant time seeing the full moon.

Harvest Moon Day for this year falls on Sept. 8.
