Prospect of Inter-Korean Relations Entirely Hinges on Attitude of S. Korean Authorities: Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- The prospect of the relations between the north and the south of Korea entirely depends on the stand and attitude of the south Korean authorities, says Rodong Sinmun Sunday in an article.

It goes on:

Those who pushed the inter-Korean relations to a catastrophe by staging military exercises are becoming talkative about "dialogue" in a bid to evade their responsibility, but this third-rate plot cannot go down with anyone.

The south Korean authorities are talking about dialogue while staging madcap war exercises against the north in collusion with the U.S. imperialists. This is no more than an unpardonable mockery of the other party and an intolerable hypocrisy towards the public opinion at home and abroad.

The puppet group can never evade the responsibility for having blocked the dialogue and cooperation between the north and the south and increased the danger of a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula to an extreme pitch.

The DPRK has made every sincere effort to improve the inter-Korean relations, prompted by its will to pave the way for peace and reunification even at a time when the south Korean authorities went to extremes in their confrontation with the DPRK and war moves.

Nevertheless, the puppet group reacted to the DPRK's goodwill with an extreme evil intention.

How can one trust those who pounce upon the other party with daggers hidden under their belts and how can one believe in their call for "dialogue".

The inter-Korean relations cannot become a scapegoat for the south Korean ruling forces' policy of confrontation with the DPRK.

The south Korean authorities should properly clarify whether they stand for dialogue or confrontation and for peace or war.

If they are sincerely concerned for the improved inter-Korean relations and dialogue, they should make a decision to definitely stop all joint military drills for aggression with the U.S.
