Banquet Given at DPRK Embassy in Moscow
Moscow, September 6 (KCNA) -- The DPRK embassy in Moscow hosted a banquet on September 5 to celebrate the 66th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

Present there on invitation were vice-minister of Development of Far East, the director of the Asia 1 Department of the Foreign Ministry, deputies of State Duma of Russia, members of the Russian Federal Assembly, and personages of the Foreign Ministry, Defense Ministry, Ministry of Development of Far East, Ministry of Regional Development, Ministry of Extraordinary Situation, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Culture, the United Russia Party, Communist Party of the Russian Federation, A Just Russia, Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, Party for Peace and Unity of Russia, All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia, Russian Railways Company, Gazprom, Institute of the Far East of the Russian Academy of Sciences, United Nuclear Institute, Moscow War Veterans' Committee, Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, United Confederation of Koreans in Russia, ITAR-TASS, Ria-Novosti and other organizations and organs of the government, parliament and political parties.

Kim Hyong Jun, DPRK ambassador to Russia, and members of his embassy were present there.

The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before the full-length picture of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and paid tribute to them.

The DPRK ambassador to Russia highly praised the immortal exploits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who founded the DPRK and turned it into a socialist power, political and ideological power and military power with independent politics, self-supporting economy and self-reliant defence capabilities.

It is the invariable stand of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government to value the history and tradition of the DPRK-Russia friendship and further develop it, he said, expressing the will to make positive efforts to open a fresh heyday in developing the DPRK-Russia friendship.

The director of the Asia 1 Department of the Foreign Ministry said in his speech that the solid bond of the Russia-DPRK friendship and cooperation overcame ordeals of history and has developed in an all-round way on the principle of equality, mutual respect and good-neighborly relations for the past 66 years.

The director hoped that the Korean people will achieve bigger successes in the work for social and economic development of the country under the guidance of supreme leader Kim Jong Un.
