Kim Jong Un Receives Message of Greeting from Chinese Leaders

Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, and Pak Pong Ju, premier of the DPRK Cabinet, received a message of greeting from Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Li Keqiang, premier of the State Council, and Zhang Dejiang, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress, on Monday.

The message says:

We extend warm congratulations to the WPK and government and people of the DPRK on behalf of the CPC, government and people of China on the occasion of the 66th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

For the past 66 years after the foundation of the DPRK, the Korean people have steadily registered fresh successes in the socialist revolution and construction under the leadership of the WPK.

We sincerely wish the Korean people fresh and bigger successes in the economic and social development of the country in future.

The traditional Sino-DPRK friendship is the precious asset common to the two countries and peoples as it was provided and cultivated by the leaders of the elder generations of the two countries with all their heart and soul.

We will steadily consolidate and boost the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation together with the DPRK side under the new situation and thus bring the welfare to the two countries and peoples and make a positive contribution to the prosperity, development, peace and stability in the region.
