Italian Political Figure Praises DPRK

Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Matteo Salvini, federal secretary of the Northern Federation of Italy, praised the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, when interviewed by a reporter after visiting it. He said: I did not miss the chance to visit the DPRK, prompted by my intention to witness its reality for myself without any prejudice. There were not a few things in short supply for the Korean people. However, it is a foolish act to slap sanctions against them. The sanctions against the DPRK should be lifted. All the people in the DPRK call their leader "respected Marshal". The state provides the people with everything such as schools, houses and jobs. It is not the American way of life only that prevails in the world. I feel satisfied with my visit to the DPRK. We witnessed a good spirit of collectivism there. A lot of children were cheerfully playing in the streets, not in video game houses and all of them were respecting old people. Such things are no longer to be seen in Italy. We met a football player who recorded one page of history by beating the Italian team in the 1966 World Cup. The September 3 issue of the Italian paper Corriere Della Sera carried the above-said story under the title "Salvini appreciates the DPRK as a country where a good spirit of collectivism prevails". |
