DPRK's Birthday Celebrated in Different Countries

Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Events took place in Vietnam, Romania, Bulgaria and Finland from Sept. 2 to 4 on the occasion of the 66th founding anniversary of the DPRK. Displayed on the front walls of the venues were portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il. Also on display there were works of the peerless great men of Mt. Paektu and books and photos introducing the shining achievements made by the DPRK in building a thriving socialist nation. Pham Tat Dong, chairman of the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Association, said that the founding of the DPRK was the fruition of staunch and heroic struggle waged by the Korean people under the guidance of Kim Il Sung and an event of weighty significance which opened a new chapter in the history of the Korean nation. Vasile Orleanu, chairman of the Supreme Council of the Socialist Party of Romania, noted that the protracted course of the development of the DPRK serves as a precious example to be followed by the world progressives aspiring after socialism. The chairman of the Bulgarian Committee for Supporting Korea's Reunification stressed that the history of the DPRK is closely linked with the revolutionary history of Kim Il Sung, father of socialist Korea and its eternal President, Kim Jong Il, eternal general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, and Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Korean people. Antti Sika Aho, chairman of the Finland-Korea Society, said that the DPRK which was built by Kim Il Sung and turned into an invincible socialist state by Kim Jong Il is the beacon of hope for the world progressives advocating independence. Messages of greeting to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the meetings held in Bulgaria and Finland. |
