The messages said the founding of the DPRK marked an event of great significance in the history of the nation as it declared the birth of an independent power with people as its masters for the first time in the history of the nation spanning 5 000 years.

Officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan are fully determined to usher in a new heyday of Chongryon in the glorious era of Kim Jong Un and thus exalt the honor of being a model in the Juche-based overseas compatriots' movement and an ardent patriotic forerunner sharing destiny with the socialist homeland, the messages added.
