The statement said that on the significant occasion progressive humankind extends the highest tribute to President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il who turned the DPRK into an ideal society.

After embarking on the road of the revolution in his early years, the President founded the immortal Juche idea and fought bloody battles against the Japanese imperialists for 20 years, thus liberating Korea, the statement said, and went on:

With his lofty intention to build a people's country in Korea, the President advanced the unique line on building people's power during the anti-Japanese struggle and accumulated a wealth of experience for embodying it and finally founded the DPRK on September 9, 1948 after the liberation of the country.

The founding of the DPRK clearly proved in practice in the eyes of the world people what kind of society the one in which the popular masses are masters of everything and everything serves them is.

Kim Jong Il who had successfully carried forward the revolutionary cause of Kim Il Sung proclaimed the programme for modeling the whole society on Kimilsungism, achieved the single-minded unity of the people around the leader, pursued unique Songun politics and firmly defended socialist Korea from the hostile forces' ever-more undisguised moves to stifle the DPRK.

The great feats performed by Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for socialist construction and the global cause of independence will shine for all ages.
