Present at the reception were Vice-Premier Kim Yong Jin, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Kim Yong Hun, and officials concerned, and players and coaches and Yang's family.

Kim Yong Jin, addressing the reception, congratulated Yang on bagging a gold medal by playing the match with the grit and pluck instilled into him by the party and thereby pleasing supreme leader Kim Jong Un and demonstrating the dignity and honor of the country before the world.
