29 teams were divided into 8 groups. The winner and the runner-up of each group will play knockout games.

The DPRK team along with Chinese and Pakistani rivals belong to Group F.

The DPRK team played its first game with Chinese rival on Monday.

Sim Hyon Jin of the DPRK scored the first goal in the 9th minute of the match.

So Kyong Jin of the DPRK team scored the second goal in the 46th minute and Ri Hyok Chol third goal in the 56th minute of the match.

The DPRK trounced its Chinese rival 3:0.

The DPRK eleven will play its second match with its Pakistani rival on September 18.
