DPRK's Founding Anniversary Observed in Foreign Countries

Pyongyang, September 16 (KCNA) -- Events took place in various countries to mark the 66th founding anniversary of the DPRK. Meetings, lectures, book and photo exhibitions and film shows were held in Benin, Nigeria, Guinea and Malaysia from Sept. 1 to 7. Displayed there were photos documenting the revolutionary exploits of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un. Also on display there were works of the peerless great men of Mt. Paektu and books and photos introducing the advantages and might of the DPRK's socialist system. Films shown included Korean films "Pyongyang Today", "Pyongyang at Night " and "Arms of Korea". The chairman of the Benin-Korea Amicable Association (Long Live Kim Jong Il, Supreme Leader) who is chairman of the Beninese National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea said that the DPRK covered the road of victory and glory over the past 66 years after its founding and turned into an invincible socialist power. The chief of the Benin Group for the Study of Kimilsungism- Kimjongilism who is rector of the Cotonou Institute of Journalism of Benin said that the President wisely led the country and people, holding the top post of the DPRK for a long period. The director of the Art and Cultural Council of the Ministry of Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria said that the President provided ever-victorious guidelines for accomplishing the cause of independence, guided by the Juche idea and the Songun idea, set a practical example in the national liberation struggle in colonies and sincerely helped the world oppressed people in their national liberation struggle. A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the event held in Benin. |
