The book contains 40 works authored by leader Kim Jong Il from December, Juche 95 (2006) to December, Juche 97 (2008).

In "The Democratic People's Republic of Korea Is a Juche-Oriented Socialist State with Invincible Might" and other works he clarified the theories on dynamically paving the road of advance for building a rich and powerful country in the era of Songun by carrying forward and developing President Kim Il Sung's idea of nation-building and the feats performed by him in building the revolutionary armed forces.

He referred to the Songun leadership feats of Kim Il Sung, the Songun revolutionary line of the Workers' Party of Korea and the validity, advantages, vitality and might of the Songun politics.

In "On Some Issues of Improving Party Ideological Work at Present", "It Is Urgent Requirement of Our Times and Our Revolution to Strengthen Socialist Education" and other works he clarified the idea that it is essential requirement for carrying out the socialist cause to give priority to the ideological work and underscored the need to intensify the ideological offensive on all fronts of the revolution and construction and conduct it energetically.

The book also contains works dealing with theoretical and practical issues of eternally defending, carrying forward and developing the revolutionary traditions and indicating ways of directing all efforts to decisively boosting power industry, coal industry, metal industry and railway transport and improving the standard of people's living.

There are works which set forth tasks to be fulfilled to bring about a drastic change in the diet style and culture of the Korean people by developing culinary art.

The book also contains works dealing with the need for the young people to give steady continuity to the youth movement of Juche, the issue of successfully conducting the work for land management, the issue of bringing about a revolutionary turn in the educational work and the issue of rapidly developing sports science.
