Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says this is an unpardonable move to escalate tensions on the Korean peninsula and in the rest of Northeast Asia and further bedevil the north-south relations as it is a revelation of the adventurous scenario to realize the ambition for invading the north with the backing of the U.S.

The projected organization of the combined division is part of the ever-more tightening U.S.-south Korea military nexus, the commentary notes, and goes on:

Not only the stability in Northeast Asia but the north-south relations are faced with a serous crisis due to the military provocations of the warmongers at home and abroad.

If the south Korean authorities are interested in improved inter-Korean relations and peace, they should give up cooperation with foreign forces for aggression and opt for terminating military hostile relations between fellow countrymen.

However, they are working hard to ignite a war against the north in league with foreign forces while persistently challenging the desire of the nation for the independent reunification of the country.

The south Korean puppet forces are a group of rare traitors pursuing only the ambition for doing harm to fellow countrymen in the north through the military nexus with foreign forces, indifferent to the improved inter-Korean relations and peace of the country.

The reality goes to clearly prove that the danger of a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula comes from the U.S. and the puppet forces.
