Present there were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who is also chairwoman of the organizing committee of the book fair, officials concerned, teachers, researches, delegations and delegates of different countries, international organizations and overseas Koreans and staff members of foreign embassies and international organizations here.

Certificates were awarded and souvenirs conveyed to organizations which contributed books and information presented to the book fair.

A letter to Marshal Kim Jong Un was adopted at the ceremony.

Kim Jong Suk said in a closing address that the participants exchanged achievements and experience gained in the fields of science, technology and media and conducted brisk exchange of publications.

She noted that the DPRK would as ever boost scientific and technological exchange and cooperation with different countries in the idea of independence, peace and friendship.
