S. Korean Teachers' Rally Held in Seoul
Pyongyang, September 18 (KCNA) -- Teachers of south Korea held a rally in Seoul on September 13 demanding the institution of a special law on probing the truth about the ferry Sewol disaster, according to Nodong and Segye, a paper of south Korea.

What the people want is to institute a special law on probing the truth, speakers said, insisting that a clarification should be made of why the disaster occurred, claiming many casualties, and why so many children were not rescued.

Teachers are, however, subject to suppression for having struggled in demand of the probe into the truth and the punishment of those responsible for the disaster, they deplored.

A resolution was read out at the rally. It denounced the chief executive for evading the blame for the disaster and the political camp for regarding the institution of a special law as a lever for political bargaining.

At the end of the rally the participants held a memorial service for the victims and those missing.
