Rodong Sinmun Slams Moves for Forming U.S.- S. Korea Combined Division

Pyongyang, September 19 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, the U.S. was closeted with the south Korean puppet forces to decide on the formation of a U.S.-south Korea combined division with the U.S. Second Division in south Korea as a mother body and brigade-level units of the puppet army included in it. Staff members of the puppet army will join the command of the U.S. Second Division and a major general of the U.S. forces will hold the post of the commander of the combined division and a brigadier general of the puppet army the post of the vice-commander.

Rodong Sinmun Friday in an article says the projected organization of the combined division is aimed to ignite another Korean war from A to Z. It goes on:

The main mission of the U.S. Second Division is to launch attack. Its role has been further enhanced in the U.S. scenario for a war of aggression against the DPRK in recent years.

It has been reorganized into a "future-oriented division" fully capable of fighting long-distance ground, naval and air battles as it is possessed of services including infantry, mechanized units, artillery pieces, reconnoitering units, air force units and intelligence and telecommunications units and equipped with drones, multi-purpose aircraft, high-speed transport ships, latest tanks and MLRS.

The U.S. has already deployed in the U.S. Second Division MRAPs for paving the way for attack on the north.

The U.S. is regarding the Korean peninsula as a main target of attack and key zone for its world hegemony.

It is seriously mistaken if it thinks it can provoke the DPRK while mulling organizing the combined division.
