Meetings, book and photo exhibitions and film shows were held in Russia, Pakistan and Switzerland from Sept. 6 to 9.

Displayed at the venues of the events were photos documenting the exploits of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also on display there were works of the peerless great men of Mt. Paektu and books and photos introducing the history of Songun Korea.

Films shown included Korean films "Grand Monuments in Pyongyang" and "Fireworks of a Thriving Nation".

The chairman of the Russian Society for Promoting the Study and Dissemination of Comrade Kim Jong Il's Works stressed that Korea's liberation is the result of the anti-Japanese armed struggle organized by the President.

He said that the heroic struggle of the Korean people who are advancing while overcoming all trials with the might of the single-minded unity is greatly encouraging the world people in their struggle for opposing the imperialist aggression.

Speakers including the secretary general of the Karachi branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association praised the President and Kim Jong Il for founding the DPRK and turning it into a socialist power of independence, self-reliance and self-defence to which the Juche idea is applied.

The chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee said that the founding of the DPRK by the President was an epoch-making event in the history of the Korean people.

Today the DPRK realized the single-minded unity of the leader, party and the masses and put its national power on the highest level thanks to the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un, the chairman added.

Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events.
