S. Korean Social Body Protests against Regime's Move to Open Rice Market

Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- Civic and social bodies including the south Korean Federation of Peasants Associations staged a sit-in strike in Seoul on Sept. 18 in protest against the move of the regime to open the rice market, according to south Korean MBC.

As soon as a session began to discuss the opening of the rice market at the hall of the "national assemblymen", they stormed the hall and staged a sit-in strike.

They strongly demanded the regime stop going ahead with its plan for the opening of the rice market, pelting eggs and pepper pouches at law-makers from the ruling party and officials concerned of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Stockbreeding and Food.
