DPRK Weightlifter Om Yun Chol Sets New World Record in Asian Games

| Inchon, September 20 (KCNA Correspondent) -- Weightlifter Om Yun Chol, People's Sportsman of the DPRK, bagged a gold medal in the 56kg category of men's weightlifting in the 17th Asian Games. The matches brought together weightlifters from the DPRK, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Vietnam and other countries. Om who snatched 128kg jerked 170kg to set a new world record. He successfully lifted 298kg in total and won a gold medal. He said reporters that he pictured for himself the benevolent image of respected Marshal Kim Jong Un the moment he won the gold medal. Thanks to Kim Jong Un's trust he could win every game, Om added. |
