Indian National Seminar Held to Mark DPRK's Birthday

Pyongyang, September 22 (KCNA) -- There took place an Indian national seminar in New Delhi on Sept. 13 to mark the 66th founding anniversary of the DPRK. Displayed there were photos documenting the undying feats of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un. It was attended by personages of political, economic, academic and media circles of India, those of the Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea and members of the Juche idea study groups. Present there on invitation were the DPRK ambassador to India and his embassy officials. Speeches were made by the chairman of the Delhi Rural Development Bureau, the chairman of the Indian Society for the Study of Works of Kim Jong Il, the director general of the Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea and others. They said the President paved the way for building the people's government from the independent stand with the great ambition for building the people's country, not wedded to the ready-made theories and experience of other countries, and founded the DPRK, the first people's democratic state in the East, on Sept. 9, 1948. They said Kim Jong Il formulated the Juche idea founded by the President as Kimilsungism and enforced the original Songun politics, defending the sovereignty of the country, developing it into the one with powerful military capabilities and ushering in a new era for building a thriving socialist nation. Thanks to the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un, the DPRK has already ranked itself in the space powers and nuclear powers and registered eye-opening successes in building an economic power and highly civilized nation, they said, adding this is greatly encouraging the world revolutionary people desirous of socialism. A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the seminar. |
