Pyongyang, September 22 (KCNA) -- A seminar was held in Britain on Sept. 7 and a lecture given in Guinea on Sept. 15 in commemoration of the 65th anniversary of demise of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk. The events were attended by figures and other people of the New Communist Party of Britain, Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist), Korean Friendship Association UK, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and a company of Guinea. The representative of the Korean Friendship Association UK said as follows: She was born into a poor family and embarked upon the road of the struggle in her early years to liberate the country from the Japanese imperialists. During the anti-Japanese war she was well known as a brave, kind-hearted woman general, who had a strong revolutionary spirit. After the liberation of Korea, she encouraged the Korean people to turn out in the drive to build a new country true to the intention of President Kim Il Sung. The greatest feat she performed for the country, revolution and people was that she brought leader Kim Jong Il up as the Shining Star of Mt. Paektu, providing a sure guarantee for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche. Kim Jong Suk passed away so early but she together with the President and Kim Jong Il is always remembered by the world progressives. A member of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist) said Kim Jong Suk was an indomitable revolutionary fighter who should be remembered forever not only by the Korean people but also by all revolutionaries of the world. The chief of a project of a company of Guinea introduced in detail the brilliant revolutionary career of Kim Jong Suk who devotedly defended the President's idea and line, protecting his health and safety. |
