Demand for Unjong Tea Increases in DPRK
Pyongyang, September 22 (KCNA) -- Unjong tea is gaining popularity among people in the DPRK.

The Unbangul Teahouse in Changgwang Street, Pyongyang is crowded with citizens eager to take the tea everyday.

Jong Kyong Hui, a waitress of the teahouse, told KCNA that the number of customers is increasing with each passing day.

Ryu Ryong Song, a citizen, said that Unjong tea with peculiar aroma helps relive stress.

Unjong tea is called Kangryong black tea and green tea in other way as it is cultivated in Kangryong County, South Hwanghae Province of the country.

The tea helps prevent arteriosclerosis, hypertension and cerebral thrombosis and strengthen heart function. It is specially efficacious for urination and aging.

The birth in the country of this tea tree, whose cultivation was considered to be hard in the area above 36 degrees North Latitude, was thanks to the tireless efforts of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

An official concerned said that big efforts are now directed to tea production and its processing to meet the increasing demand for it.
