Speakers, addressing the meeting, expressed their deep concern about the tensions escalating on the Korean peninsula as the days go by and called upon the world progressives and youth to ensure peace and stability in the region and intensify international solidarity activities to achieve the reunification of Korea.

The vice-president of the federation said President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il were prominent leaders who developed the DPRK into a socialist fortress admired by the world and carved out a bright prospect for the prosperity of the country.

The chairman and the secretary general of the Youth Federation of Nepal expressed profound reverence for supreme leader Kim Jong Un who has decisively frustrated every challenge and machination of the forces hostile to the DPRK and made energetic efforts for the victory of the socialist cause.

The chairman of the Central Committee of the Youth League of Bangladesh condemned DPRK-targeted military exercises, which the U.S. stages in south Korea every year, as a revelation of their ambition to stifle socialist Korea at any cost and supported the sincere efforts and fair proposal of the DPRK for peace on the Korean peninsula and its reunification.

The meeting adopted a statement of the federation on the peace on the peninsula and its reunification.

The statement blasted the hostile policy towards the DPRK and the extremely dangerous war moves of the U.S. and the south Korean puppet regime.

The statement fully supported the Korean people including the youth in their just cause to protect the sovereignty of the country and the dignity of its supreme leadership through decisive and practical counter-actions and to build a thriving socialist nation without fail.
