DPRK's Woman Weightlifter Wins Gold Medal

| Inchon, September 22 (KCNA Correspondent) -- Ri Jong Hwa, a DPRK woman weightlifter, won a gold medal in the weightlifting match of the 17th Asian Games on Sept. 22. She lifted 134kg in jerk in women's 58kg category, 8 kg more than what the runner-up did, coming top with a total lift of 236kg. On the same day, DPRK women gymnasts came second in the team event, Kim Myong Hyok in the 69kg category of the men's weightlifting event and Sol Kyong in women's judo 78kg category. Synchronized swimmers of the DPRK placed third in the group program of free choice. |
