DPRK Doctorate Awarded to Teacher of Chongryon Korean University

| Pyongyang, September 23 (KCNA) -- DPRK doctorate was conferred on So Jong In, teacher of Korean University of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), with due ceremony at the People's Palace of Culture Tuesday. He comprehensively systematized the course of development of children's literature of Koreans in Japan and its ideological and artistic achievements, guided by the Juche-oriented idea and theory on literature and art, thus greatly contributing to building literature of Koreans in Japan. A decision of the State Commission for Conferment of Academic Degrees and Titles of the DPRK was read out before awarding the doctorate of literature to him. Present there were Vice-Premier Kim Yong Jin, chairman of the State Commission for Conferment of Academic Degrees and Titles, and officials concerned. |
