President Kim Il Sung organized the institute, a special designing body of the power industry field, in Juche 43 (1954).

The institute marks September 24 when the President paid his first visit to it.

Over the past six decades the institute has developed into a prestigious designing body of the country with able designing forces and material foundation under the leadership and loving care of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu.

It has advanced a lot of unique technical innovation proposals of Korean style and introduced them to projects, helping cut down the period for commissioning construction projects and economizing a huge amount of funds and materials and thereby bringing great benefits to the state.

A meeting to mark the diamond jubilee took place on Wednesday.

Present there were O Su Yong, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Kim Tok Hun, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials concerned, officials and employees of the institute.

A congratulatory message of the WPK Central Committee to the designers and officials of the institute was conveyed at the meeting.

The congratulatory message highly praised the designers and officials for having achieved successes in the drive for implementing the party's policy on power industry with loyalty to the party and the leader and noble sense of moral obligation.
