Present there were Choe Ryong Hae, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) who doubles as chairman of the State Physical Culture and Sports Guidance Commission, Ro Tu Chol, vice-premier of the Cabinet and chairman of the State Planning Commission who doubles as vice-chairman of the State Physical Culture and Sports Guidance Commission, Ri Ryong Nam, minister of External Economic Relations, O Kum Chol, vice-chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army, officials concerned, footballers and coaches.

Choe Ryong Hae in a speech warmly congratulated the players and coaches on fully demonstrating the spirit of Songun Korea in the championship.

They could win such a victory thanks to the warm care and belief shown by Marshal Kim Jong Un who has worked heart and soul for the development of the nation's sports, Choe said.

He called upon all the players and coaches to intensify their training the way the anti-Japanese guerrillas did in Mt. Paektu and put sports of the country on the world level at an early date and fully exalt dignity and honor of thriving Korea by bagging more gold medals.

Football player Jang Song Il in a reply speech extended the highest glory and deepest thanks to Kim Jong Un who projected them and showed warm loving care for them though they fulfilled their duties.

He renewed his will to reliably carry out the cause of building a sports power by bagging more gold medals, always bearing in mind the trust and expectation of the party.
