Prensa Latina of Cuba said on September 8:

President Kim Il Sung founded the DPRK on Sept. 9, 1948. This was a landmark event for the Korean people in carving out their destiny. No matter how often an old generation is replaced by a new one, the exploits he performed by honorably protecting the sovereignty and dignity of the DPRK will last forever.

Kuwait Times on Sept. 7 introduced the exploits he performed by liberating and building the country.

Recalling that he devoted his great wisdom and energy to instituting the name of the country, its flag and emblem, the paper praised the President as the founder of the DPRK and father of socialist Korea who thoroughly applied the principle of independence in politics, self-support in economy and self-reliance in national defence.

The September issue of the British paper Line of March noted in an article:

Under the wise leadership of the President, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un, the DPRK grew stronger to be an impregnable fortress protecting peace and security of the region from the provocations of the imperialists and instilling strength and courage into the world people.

The Korean people are confident of their rosy future through the whole historic course of the Korean revolution which emerged victorious under the leadership of the President and Kim Jong Il and the life experience they gained while dynamically stepping up the building of a thriving socialist nation under the leadership of Kim Jong Un in recent years.
